i would save the money in a box...and wait till they sue you. i doubt chase will accept any and it might get you further messed up with needing proof of pay here and there. i know cap1 wont take money and mine are only assigned still. save it back..wait and see..once a suit is filed , pull it out. until then..it wont help your credit at all to pay on it,. i doubt the offer was meant anyways...flag on that is the "pay it now over the phone" bs.

how old is this debt? they will offer to settle about every 2 months..so i have found. it wasnt a one time --"you have to grab it now"--thing.
did they say the word "sold"? or assigned? i have to drag that out of the OC, they keep saying it makes no diff. to me, it does. it is who can sue and who cant. who owns it..who doesnt. sold means they paid like a nickel on the dollar for it.
