They are collection attorneys.

Look at the documentation attached to the summons and see what they have attached. The plaintiff is supposed to attach copies of everything they have to the original complaint (florida law)

You are being sued for an amount higher than small claims, which is why you are being given 20 days to respond. If you don't file some kind of paper in 20 days, they get a default judgment.

Do you have your checkbooks- will that tell you when you last paid the original creditor? Your credit report will give you the date of charge off- count back 180 days and you will be close to the date of last activity
