i hope someone else knows this exactly..i suspect it depends on state laws and companies, as to what your contract says.

what happened to me...MAKE SURE this doesnt to you, is citifinancial foreclosed on me anyways. with no court, no letters, nothing. changed my interest to 5% compounded daily, and every time i got late on a payment i got a stupid postcard registered mail, saying they were kicking me out. when i called..they assured me it was a clerical error. 3 years later... finally a decent soul told me the truth. during the BK, they had foreclosed and i was living as a tenant. long as i stayed up to date, they couldnt kick me out. one month behind..and they started it again. costing me legal fees..every time. and it would cost me at least 1500$ to fight it and win. cute lil legal loopholes.

so..i dont know exactly what they can and cant, but i know what some will do anyways. and who can fight it? i dont have 1500$. so be careful and keep a close eye on it.
CRs...accounts...charges. i simply finally re-fied and told them to kiss my a$$. i dont think they can EVICT you if your caught up. foreclosing is another matter. foreclosure doesnt mean a automatic anything. it can simply change your contract and add more fees, here put you to a month to month tenancy. good luck!!
