Who is the plaintiff? What state are you in? do you have assets that they can seize if they do sue and get a judgement? Protect your banking info now. I would continue to pay, if it is to the original creditor, and you are sure you are paying the original creditor, but get a seperate bank account, different bank with a spouse as primary (if possible). They could go after your bk account, and they have your banking info from the checks you have written to them. Don't keep a lot of money in the checking account you are using to pay them, just enough to pay bank charges and them. OR get a new bank account and start paying them with a money order.
