The rep may have been "legal" but the resale that created the deficiency may not have been.
In addition, on the contract that you signed as co-signer there should have been on the BACK of the contract another place for you to sign accepting co-responsibility for any deficiency after repossssion.

If BOTH the repo and the notices of sale and accounting for deficiency were done legally, then there is a 4 year SOL -dating from the time of the repo SALE for you to be sued.
