I was all set to file WhyChat's "Motion to Deny Arbitration Award" after I got the (expected) notice saying W&A was awarded an arbitration judgement against me. Thanks to those that offered advice on how to find the information about how to file the motion. But I've run into another snag...

I called the County Clerk's office to find out how to get the correct forms for filing the motion, and where to file it, etc... The person I spoke to asked about a case number. The Arbitration case was not with the Cook County Clerk (of course). It was through the NAF. So the county clerk says I can't file a motion to deny the award, because as far as the county knows, there's no award to deny!

does this mean I have to wait for a few months until W&A actually sue me to get their "award"? And THEN I can file my motion? Of course, by then, there's a case against me and I'll NEED a lawyer. I was hoping to get this motion filed earlier and head this thing off at the pass. Any advice? Suggestions?

thanks.
