i have a question? i had 2 acct with mbna for 25k. i settled 1 accts with mbna for $8500 and they were very nice but said the other acct was i guess charged off. now trying to deal with ca is a disaster they want 20k which i don't have want it all upfront. my question why can't i just deal with the orginally creditor(mbna). also, isn't the law that they can't demand more than the orginally creditor wanted which mbna settled already for 8500 on 25?
