Take a proactive approach and file a notice of exemption with your bank to notify them that the funds in that account are exempt from attachment. You can get your money back if they do take it, but why go through the aggravation.

Have you considered informing your local news investigative reporters about the bank's cavalier attitude towards its depositor's money? It might make an interesting story on a slow news night.
