I agree with J Kelly that there is NO REASON TO PAY A CA. It won't help your credit at all, and can make it worse. I was just pointing out that many people worry about court and judgements because that can make your credit worse, along with the possibility of garnishments, liens, etc. However, I know from experience that you can be denied insurance and/or charged higher rates because of bad credit. And more and more employers are checking credit reports even for low level jobs that have nothing to do with handling money. I think that's unfair, but it is the trend these days.
