Summons In MN

I have an old CC debt (under 4k) from the mid/late nineties which recently came back on me in the form of a summons from a successor (CA) of the OC. Can the CA sue me? Are they trying to scare me? What are the worst case scenario of a judgement? They have no address for my name on the downloadable document. The old "attempt of a debt collector notice" is on the bottom. I did not answer the complaint as told to do by the "server" who said I should call attorneys. Could this be real or a scare. I was thinking this might be past the statute of 6 years in MN. Please advise!
