well, sure they can sue. they just have to use a lawyer licensed here. check and see if they are bonded to collect in texas. i have the email addresses ..in the archives. they can take the bank account with a judgement but not wages in texas. usually, i think they just get default judgements and lay low with them, till we get something as a asset. i know when we re-fied our house, we had to pay all charge offs out of the money. luckily it was before they had them reported correctly./ LOL. their loss. 2 months later they corrected it. whew.
make sure these people are bonded to collect in texas. the AG
office will answer a email in about 1 day..for the bond question,.
if they arent, you need a letter in writing asking about it and
them stating they cant collect. good luck!!!
