i agree..close the account. in a few months, my guess is they will clean her out. soffer is a a$$h**e scum lawyer here in texas. . he works on fear..and this makes me so MAD. to treat a older person this way!!! grrrr. i dont know what florida uses in way of collecting..but see if they need a license or bond and have it. hell yes, they accepted her offer!!! im sure they about pooped their pants over it. man,,, i am sorry. show her how these collectors work..and her rights. do not get anything in writing and have her sign it..never. that will create a new loan and re start the SOL. . nothing agreeing to paying nothing. we ended up paying some CA a few months ago. man, did it feed them into a frenzy. they hit the "you paid now your backing out" bs for months. oh well, i told em i re-thought it and wouldnt pay them squat. what most do with a agreement like that..is clean out her account and then start calling for more money..saying the original agreement is enuff and threaten to sue anyways. there is no way to appease a CA,. (i have seriously thought of sending them my blood in the mail). tell her to not worry..
