Lady,

The SCRA is new, signed into law 12/03 and supplants the Soldiers and Sailor's Act. I could be wrong, but from what I have read it appears not to require that you be stationed out of the country.

But it does add some teeth to the FDCPA which, as have pointed out, also affords plenty of protection! It protects any active duty military personnel from a default judgment, amongst other things. It also provides for a HUGE fine of $100,000 against any CA who submits a false affidavit in a civil action against a serviceperson.

Let the CA's chew on that one for awhile. LOL
