Not likely that your car is worth enough (at auction-less than bluebook) for them to be interested in. It would cost them money, and from what I have read, it is not cheap, to legally take possession of the car and pay all of the fees involved in the auction process. Then they would have to give you the exemption amount for a vehicle in your state. There just wouldn't be anything left. Don't let them scare you into believeing that you will loose your car. You won't. They would loose money on the deal.
