he lives in Alabama and yes,he's been paying the monthly charges religiously directly to Providian. I think he's had the card for at least 5-6 years.They've never had reason to bother him because he always has paid the minimum due-which is like $200. a month. I finally stepped in and told him to call them and tell them he can no longer pay. They pretty much said,"tough".
