They buy millions of accounts for 2 cents on the dollar and tag your credit report.
If you need them off your credit report, you go to them to pay them off. If you don’t need them off your report, it just sits there.

All they do is call and write letters and mark your credit report. They rarely ever sue.

If your account is still within SOL it’s always a danger to ask for validation on an account you know is yours. Save your postage. You already asked for validation already.
