That's a tough one, especially if they are aware of the legal action and probability of receiving money. I don't think sending 10.00 monthly is going to do much good. The accounts will still charge off after 180 days as far as I know. Legally, as far as I know, the check (from legal action must be made out to you) So, here is a thought. Go to the bank where the money is drawn from, depending on what state you are in, you might be able to purchase something that is exempt with cash. Actually, there are a lot of things you can do. Corporation, put the money into a corporate account. You can easily hide a corporation. Anything so that your social security is not associated with the bank account. OPT OUT so that the CRAs can't sell your info. A large amount of money in the bank will drawal a lot of attention. Just think it out, it can be done legally. Then, when the money is clear, do what you need to do.
