Moving my judgment

HI all! So, you keep saying they have to move the judgment to Alabama... from Virginia. Does this mean I will be served with papers and then go to court? So, maybe I will have a chance to pay this and get it out of my hair?
Or does it just mean there will a judgment in Alabama for me? and does THIS judgment go on my credit report?
Sorry again for all the questions --with my luck this will not go away --- and will probably come back strong and hard and really mess up my life.
