Try to work with OC, always good to repay one's debt, if not work an acceptable compromise plan. If, on the other twisted-claw mutant-bloodtick hand, this is a CA, anything you pay will be cheerfully accepted, receipt ever more cheefully denied, when they file suit for nonpayment. A while back, someone posted re AssXXXX Acceptic Crap-o-ration, old favorite around here. Person paid them off, then, a lawsuit for non-payment. Well, of course. Look, paying CA's the principal, interest, and penalties, doesn't mean they'll forgive the 'one time courtesy waiver fee', the 'agreement not to arrest under Carpatian Law for non-payment' courtesy fee, plus the interest on that, backdated to 1638. Nope. Think of CA as a criminal addict. They have a Jones not for the Big H, but for cash. Yours. No matter how much you pay, they're back for more. Give 'em a penny, they hit you for a dime. So they sue, so answer it, meantime, lay low, they might go away. Point being, paying these dog-dropping breath geeks is no guarantee they won't up the ante and sue. Common practice. Once you pay, they alert their pals, who come 'a runnin'. Where does money you pay them go? To interesting colorful places. Feeding their money Jones in expectation of tranquility is like handing a crackhead your DVD player, expecting he won't return for the TV when you leave home. Except the crackhead has integrity, character, strenghth. Qualities which disqualify one from CA employment. Disqualifyingly, Keyser Soze "Funny, I never thought of it as a game." - Det. H.
