I have a hearing on Thursday with them. I'll let you know what happens. I answered their complaint with no knowledge or denials and am asking for a dismissal. You should research WA's laws. I posted earlier this week that I found an Illinois law that states an "Assignee" (which ASSets are claiming they are) cannot file a suit in small claims court, someone said California has the same law. Maybe WA has one also. I haven't read anywhere else about anyone actually going to court with them. They are claiming in my case that they are Assignees of Providian, jacked the amount up by a few thousand dollars and have no supporting evidence with their complaint - which is also a violation of the law. So, since they didn't get a default judgment against me I'm waiting to see if they show up at the hearing and what they bring in support of their claim. I talked to an atty when I got the summons and he said to ask for dismissal because they (ASSet)usually have no paper work to support their claims as they are debt buyers, not collection agencies. As the Plaintiff they have to prove the claims. In mine they attached 1 line from a credit report - could be anyone's as far as we know. Did you get the "Group Exhibit A" attached to complaint? Totally against all the S.Ct. Rules because it doesn't state anything in it except that they bought the debt.

When's your court date?
