NC exempts $10,000 of equity for a single person, $20,000 if married.

However, if your TITLE to the house is still joint with your ex, the home can not be liened UNLESS he also was a a signatory on the credit cards.

How old ARE the debts on these credit cards?? That is, when wre you last able to USE them.

The CC companies would still have to file and get a judgment against you, if your debts are large, and fairly recent, and you own your home by yourself, then yes, there IS a risk of seizure.
