If there was a case # assigned, your answer will be put in the case file. I there was no case # than the instructions were to file notice of appearance and save the answer until the hearing.

I suggest you call the Court clerk and find out what your next move should be, since you requested a dismssal in your answer, I guess that you can request a hearing date for a motion to dismiss.

It is impossible to give specific advise on any State's Court procedure, (and unethical as well) unless someone is licensed in that State.
