What if you don't pick up certified letters?

Hey all. I'm used to getting daily
phone calls and collection letters. Now I have a slip to pick
up a 'certified letter' which I'm 99% sure is from a CA.
Is there any reason I should go out of my way to pick up another
collection
letter? Except for maybe curiosity?
