DJ, I have/ am dealing with Soffar as well. At first a guy that calls himself Patrick called and threatened me at work until I agreed to a payment arrangement I could not afford. After barely making these payments for a few months I contacted an attorney who basically gave me the same advice the others on here have. He said stop paying them while he filed a legal action against them. This Patrick character has called and threatened my wife, myself, gave co workers information about me and lastly threatened our secretary. I learned early on to tape everything, which I did and I strongly suggest you do. If I had it to do over again I would completely ignore them, don't talk to them in any way, shape, or form. They are not going to sue you. They have been threatening me with that crap since September and still haven't sued. Don't worry about them, but beware of them. They are extremely dirty and will violate FDCPA at every opportunity.
