what we did was the BK where its all discharged. not restructured. (sp) that one WILL take all your income, is my understanding. yiour lawyer can advise you on that, tho. tell you all the options, etc. mine took about 8 months..start to finish. it was in san angelo, western district. short hearing before the judge in a room with a big table.,,no court room. about 8 others were there with us and we got to watch and listen to theirs. sad stuff. get a good lawyer, unlike mine who screwed us. many let you pay them out and have free consultations. they advertise on tv here...central texas.

i agree, BK is a good way to go with your debt. yes, you can spend stuff on the little ones! hugs** to them. we kept 2 cards and just didnt put them on the papers. i have heard others say that was a bad idea but no one said nothing to us about it. we had land..owed on..but we lost it ..our choice. couldnt afford it. other than that..here we sit. lol. same cars..one per licensed driver ...same house..now re-fied 3 years later.

i will caution you IN CAPITAL LETTERS...you will get letters and offers in the mail. TONS. wanting to sell you a car...credit cards..and we were stupid and fell back into it and my husband got ill again and here we are..screwed. do not fall for the offers. opt out. now. after its discharged..wait about 4 or 5 months and check your credit reports. make sure all accounts are reported as BK. mine still arent. cheaper to file now than when you have judgements. you cant have any money come in for 6 months or the BK court will take it. no lotto..no insurance proceeds..etc..no selling things.

ladyinred can help you also. this is just my experiences here in texas. best of luck!!!
