CAs usually know about checking accounts because you have used your cecking account to pay the creditor. If you bounce checks you will be on telecheck or chexsystems, but that is not your credit report. Your checking account will not show on your credit report. I don't know of any data base where your checking account will show up. That is private info as far as I know. If you have not used your current checking account to pay the creditor, they probably do not know about it. Since it is out of state, it would be very hard for them to find. When consumers do try to pay CAs, the CA will often tell the consumer that the only way they can accept payment is with automatic withdrawal. NEVER NEVER fall for this one. They are just after your checking account info. Also, and this goes without saying, never never write post dated checks.
