BK exemptions in Tx are exactly the same as exemptions for judgments.

If you file BK, you will lose immediately anything you MIGHT lose from a judgment.

A BK stays on your credit reports for 10 years, a judgment for 7, (although it can be enforced against you in Tx for 10).

I suggest you consider this, opt out,go through your credit cards and other debts and decide which you want to keep, (only keep those that are CURRENT and in good standing) Stop responding to ANY credtor or collection agency letters, calls or even summons.

If you wind up with one or two default judgments against you, and are VERY careful to protect your bank accounts by having them re-opened in another bank JOINTLY wih someone OTHER than you or your spouse as PRIMARY, and DO NOT pay ANY credit card bills or anything else to ANY Company with a check from that account,(use money orders) then you can get through this without BK and without losing ALL your credit.

In 2 & 1/2 years, once you are past SOL, you can send the SOL letter from my website to those creditors or collection agencies who DID NOT sue you, and they ill be GONE.

If at any time in the future, you decide to pay some or any of your medical bills,DIRECTLY TO THE DOCTOR, you can do so with the HIPAA letter from my website.
