Wondering if it is time to start or wait a bit

Hello everyone, Here is my situation. I'm wondering if its a good time to begin cleaning up my credit report and building new credit. I have 6 negs from 3 accounts (OC and CA) and 2 pos from a car loan and CC. All of my negs are past SOL, except for one that expires this month (Asset) and another that expires in Dec (Sherman). The Sherman one is not on my report, but Household said they sold to them. Asset sends letters and occasionally calls; they are the only one. After this month when the SOL expires im going to have fun with them as payback for the anxiety they have caused me. Everyone else has apparently given up. I have managed to keep my credit report saying im self employeed, and have no house so I think they just think im a dry well. My question is this: should I wait til Dec (when the last SOL expires) to begin cleaning up my report and building new credit? Sherman is nowhere to be seen, but i dont want to wake them up. Im also concerned Asset might try a stealth lawsuit if they see i have a job. My reasoning for doing this is my partner and I have recently started talking about buying a home, he has great credit, no negs and doesnt know about my bads (ive been perfect for 4yrs, all this happened before him) and im hoping he doesnt find out. I know it wont change anything, I would just rather him not know if I can help it. I have opt'd out. I live in California. Sorry for the long post. Any advice is great :)
