I suggest you show up in court and ask the judge for a continuance. Explain that you just got the summons today and you need time to investigate the case.

If you are not past the sol, you can tell the judge that you are disputing the amount but need time to locate your records.

If the judge grants your request, then you will have time to decide what to do.

They usually have to wait for the time to appeal the judgment or ask for a new trial has expired to go after your bank account. If they have the number, they might ask the judge to freeze in advance althought that seems to be a big problem mostly in Texas.
