I will let you know what the lawyer says. DEBTXS sent more cease and desist to the lawyer that is sueing us today and sent me letters that can be used in my answer to the summons.

I was not behind when I contracted with DEBTXS -- just wanted to try to get the interest rates down and figure out a way to pay the credit cards off. We had a reduction in salary (mine from another secondary source) and that put ME in a bind.

From what I was told - they can't freeze the bank accounts yet... but I will follow the advice of the lawyer. I pay monthly into a legal service and just when I thought about dropping it - this came along. Thank God I did not drop it!

I figure in my response to the summons I will include the letter from DEBTXS that clearly says I have been with them for a year now and that the companies should be in contact with. I was told at the very beginning NOT to talk to my creditors and to keep a log of when they called. I reported all to DEBTX and faxed them every letter I got.

So.. we shall see where it goes. I am also thinking that we may be able to talk but DEBTXS says ... don't do this.

I will follow the advice of the lawyer.

This is long! I have learned much from reading everything that is here. I too live in Texas.

I was also told my car can't be taken away from me.
