Checking accounts don't show up on credit reports unless a CA is trying to collect an amount for an overdraft. New accounts in good standing don't show up at all on CR's.

But they WILL show up in an asset search. If your SSN is primary on the account, it will defintely show up. There are companies that do nothing but asset searches for CA's.
