IRS thing is interresting
They have been talking about doing this for awhile.
IRS is basically made up
1. Office Auditors (Do audits in the office)
2. Revenue Agents (do audits out of office)
3. Revenue Officers (collect money on taxes owed)
4. Special Agents (carry guns work on criminal cases) IRS is looking to free up Revenue Officers so they can expand Audits and bring in more money.
There is a lot of problems in doing this because
IRS rules for collection (power) are different than that of standard CAs.
It would be an awful mistake to give any CAs the IRS powers of collection. Literally All hell would break loose. For example the IRS has the right to seize bank accounts, foreclose on property, levey wages, all without going to court. Can you imagin this power in the hands of the scumbags CAs.
Very Serious Stuff.
Rlee.
