My husband and split up 13 years ago and I wnent home to Europe. He kept the credit cards (which were in both our names) and continued spending but not paying them. I haven't had the opportunity to visit America since but was told by my ex that I would be stopped at the airport if there was a judgement against me. I have the chance to visit the U.S. this summer but am now worried about visiting as I will have my children with me and am afraid that I could be stopped on arrival. I have a good credit rating at home and have never been in debt on my own behalf. Does anyone know if my ex is right about this?
