(still hate calling you that, lol), and i dont know the limits on judgements in ala. in texas, it is 10 yrs and renewable. thus, they will eventually make me pay one. as old as i am..retiring..selling this house..etc..they will make me pay it. so,,actually, i dont see a huge issue on paying it. ducking quickly** ..some of us cant ignore stuff like others can. its everyone's choice on how they handle their bills. sooner or later, if your in a state where they can attach anything you ever get, they will get paid anyways. i am gonna wait till someone makes me pay one. lol. thats my choice. they have done their worst and now i just wait on any money showing..(altho the kids will grab it before it hits the floor--they remind me of CAs) cause i know its coming and owed, but i have to be made to. whether you pay or not, is up to you. what you can handle or deal with, again is up to you. i am doin what most here consider entirely stupid..by paying off 2 cc i have,,,rather than let them get COed also. shrug* just my own way of dealing. so, do what you want, hon. i hate to disagree with whychat for many reasons, one of which is he/she is hugely intelligent and knows more than i ever will. he/she is kind, caring and so helpful with his/her time on her for the masses of us who need help, but, your not wasting my time , anyways, and i hurt when i read that reply. i know how bad i feel when someone at a board says something to me like that, and i wanted to tell you hugs****, others can think what they want but for me, nothing is a waste here. well, ok, the porn maybe. i learn, sometimes i get off task badly, but it all helps in the long run.

second, why did they do this? cause they can. they wait in hopes that you will pay cause you care about your credit, cause your aunt sallie died and left you money, cause you want to sell a house. they just do. who knows. im sure its very calculated, and thats how they work. if it affects you so badly, do what you think best with it. i think you may have probs paying off less than the full amount. a judgement is not like settling with a CO. dunno about that part. since its all legal..it may be diff. i just dont know. some of us cant stand calls and things..some can. please let me know how it goes. if you dont want to post it, email me. good luck with it/. it will hit your CR tho...another 7 years. a paid wont help that at all. sad to say and wrong as hell, but true. how old is it?? how many years you have left? god, whychat, im ready but dont hit too hard, please? :)
