Whew! You all have been so helpful to me, if I thought for a minute that I had upset someone I would not be able to stand it.

First --let me say ---maybe someone misread or I didn't write clearly enough --this judgment has never shown up on any credit reports. Only thing that has is---the "hard pull" of my Equifax report by the lawyer who sued me on behalf of the company who got the judgment. THIS isthe same lawyer I recieved the "demand of payment" letter from. Being that it is the same lawyer who handled the judgment in the first place I am curious if he really does have legal right to try to collect.
Let me say this --I truely appreciate all the advice and well wishes etc.... I am absolutely clueless on this stuff and may come across as stupid also. I am glad I found this site and I am only trying to make sure I do the right thing with this judgment. I don't nec. want to pay it. I mean, I haven't been hiding all these years...they have had plenty of time to come after me for it. I just want it to go away. I thank you "whychat" for the slap in the face on this one..... I just don't know what to do.

I've said my piece and I hope there are no "hard feelings" --or feelings of wasted time and effort ----I am not sure if I feel comfortable posting on this site anymore. I thank you all for the help.
