only my 2 cents. others know better than i do. cap1 threatened me with fraud charges too. they are not allowed to make threats they have no intent of followin up with and i seriously doubt this,unless you somehow did committ fraud and its easily seen. try to get proof of their threats. how old is the account? where are you? and no, i doubt they can unless its very apparent fraud. i think this is a CA tactic cause it was used on me. i said if i was gonna commit fraud, it wouldnt be for 3,000. lol. one can not be arrested for a debt. only if there is intent and fraud in making the debt..like..identity theft..hot checks...etc. others will be along to answer this also. a DA would have to do the charges..i seriously doubt this is more than a illegal tactic. but, i dont know you, lol lol...or your situation. you cant be arrested for owing a credit card. only if you acquired it thru fraud. even if you did...they cant arrest you until you go back to that state..btw. i doubt they would extradite on fraud. i also doubt they could get 3 charges on you out of one account. lol. would love that on tape tho..them saying that.
