In addition to the classic example of 'criminal projection', another example provided straightaway by Lenahan, that of 'telegraphing intent'. This doot-fly calls, threatens to file felony and misdemeanor charges. This is telegraphing, a criminal telling his intentions to his mark, but in the upside down manner of, well, a criminal. What's wrong with the statement? Among other faults, since when do lawyers, let alone 'collections professionals' file any kind of charges? That's the province of cops, grand juries, District Attorneys, Attorneys General, or other public entities vested with the power to do so. Any two bit cretin could threaten to charge another with heinous felonious offenses, but it would amount to piffle, nonsense. Hey, come to think of it, that's what Danny-boy-o does for his living.
