This is typical Camco crapola, especially the part about it not being your debt. They DO sometimes get hold of real debt attributable to the person they're actually calling, in which case it will be years out-of-statute. They never sue (unlike Asset Acceptance) because they have so many accounts it's impossible, and/or they know they'd lose and get fined for bringing a frivolous action. Instead, please PLEASE get a lawyer and sue them, immediately after certified-mailing your cease-comm. Like Superman used to tell us on Saturday mornings, do your part to put litter in its place.
