Charge off is an accounting procedure and can only occur once. The OC must charge off at 180 days after the date of last payment.

It doesn't matter how many debt collectors purchase the account- the sol start date doesn't change.

Lots of these cas purchase debt that is past sol or close to sol for very little money and hope to scare people into paying.
