Do not reply to the letters, do not talk to them on the phone,(get an answering achine with caller ID)they are not licensed in Fl so all they can do is threaten by mail or phone. They would have to get a Fl lawyer to file suit, and if you do not respond to their threats they likely will not bother.

If they ARE stupid enough to file suit, you will need to answer and fight them in Court and if you lose,have your husband file an exemption from garnishment as head of household.

Are you and your husband JOINT on this account?, If not, and you are the only one on it, they can not touch him anyway.

I suggest you opt out on your credit reports (both) and when you are safely past SOL, you can start cleaning up your credit.
