Exactly. Never try to work something out rationally with them because they obviously are bill collectors, and we know that our sweeping generalizations about this group of people is correct: they are all evil and eat babies. Wait until the legal system forces you to obey the contract YOU signed. Why would you try and resolve something voluntarily. What is the purpose of a co-signer anyhow?
