I have a judgement here in Texas from an OC over an eviction in 10/01. I verified the eviction through the court they said the I was served by "alternate means" which means they posted a note on the door then sent a letter. Since I had already vacated the place I didn't see the notice on the door, and I didn't get the one in the mail because I left no forwarding address(left in a hurry!) and they won by default. I noticed a CA is on my credit report listing my former landlad as the OC, my question is this if I were to settle with the CA would that satisfy my judgement that shows my landlord as the plaintiff. I've been in contact with the CA and they sent a copy of the lease to me but the stuff was very incomplete, so incomplete I'm confident I could have the agency's record dropped from my CR. But that does me little good with regards to the judgement which has 10% apr, I actually think the current CA is totally unaware of the judgement or they are not diclosing all their information. My concern is not the CA but the judgement.
