many accounts with a zero balance can still be open. close it then dispute it if the company wont report it correctly. be aware it takes 30 to 60 days for reporting and then 45 more for a CRA to catch up. being paid in full doesnt mean automatically the account is closed. was it a good trade line? paid on time, in full...you may not want it to show closed. it may be helping your credit.
