I always think of myself as a survivor but you know sometimes it's just so dang frustrating to take one step forward just to move 3 steps back. And the rich get richer and we keep struggling but my saying is "you can't take it with ya so what good is it doing ya?" Sure I'd like to have more but I'm content with what I have. It just sucks the big one when someone like me, who I consider a fine upstanding citizen just going along, gets into debt for a small amount and I get sued - lol. But I haven't used credit (except for my car and my mortgage) in over 4 years - finally learning my father's lessons from years ago. He used to say "if you want something and don't have the money come to me, if I don't have the money you don't need it." Cash is the only way to go, I've just learned I have to make do without the "bling" and be happy with what I have - a roof over my head, M&M peanuts (right now), a cable hook-up on my puter and enough money to put my 17 year old through private school so she can become the doctor she dreams of becoming (and she's already been told by the college of her choice that she is guaranteed a full scholarship - and she's only a junior).

Anyway - p.s. - I wasn't scared going to court, I was soooooo looking forward to it. I thought it would be fun and it was. That's what being prepared and educated does for you - it makes you strong in the face of adversity.

So - (boy are we on rolls today or what Cat?) - to all the peoples out there in cardreport land. It will get better and if it doesn't don't sweat it, there is no such thing as "debtors prison" and just remember, it's only money and not your life, just learn to make do with what you have and who cares if the person next to you has more, it's just material.

What you need to do in the meantime is use this board for the education you need to help you when the going gets rough.
