Save your breath, Cat. The troll is someone who has been here before to stir the pot. Obviously, someone has a low-paying, go-nowhere job that he/she hates, and its caused a build-up of venom. You and others on this board are simply easy targets. It's easy to paint everyone with the same brush when you're full of hatred. There are many, many innocent victims on this board who simply need a hand in proving they're victims. They don't need sympathy...they need knowledge. That is what we're here for. Does a CA know who's an authorized user (who truly had no knowledge of the alleged debt) or who is the victim of ID theft? Of course not. How can you tell the difference when your record-keeping is so s****y? The CA doesn't have a contract, they have no statements or receipts tying the alleged "debtor" to the account. All they have is a sales receipt with a name or two from the OC. They don't even know if the person they've "skip traced" is the same person as on the bulk sales receipt. So how does this alleged "debtor" prove that he/she isn't responsible for a debt when he/she has NO RECORDS of the account? And what if the LAW says that he/she doesn't have to pay EVEN IF IT WAS their debt because the OC didn't do due diligence and/or slept on their rights? Well guess what? THE LAW SAYS that they don't have to prove ANYTHING. THE LAW SAYS that the CA has the BURDEN OF PROOF. PROVE YOUR CASE AND YOU WIN, so quit your whining. If you work for a cr@ppy company that gives you cr@ppy tools to do your job, then FIND A NEW ONE. And the final word to those who are threatened by us lowly folk here: If you don't like the laws of this country and the protection it affords to its citizens, then find a place to live or deal with a country whose laws you like better. Feel better, Cat? :-)
