I think it is another whammy on your credit score, and a recent judgement is going to hurt.

if a creditor does sue you, its probably a good idea to respond and try to avoid having a judgement.

I'm a little unclear on the strategy here..or the details. Myself, I think it would have been better to file bankruptcy about the time the charge-offs are happening and be done with them.

On the other hand, I realize there are various reasons why this is impractical for some people.
