applying for a mortgage - needs advise

hello.... to start off, my husband has good credit, and i do not. i have 5 bad marks (including one charge-off) all from 1999. no bad marks since then. i have continuosly disputed these bad marks (with all 3 credit bureaus)...none get removed. all keep coming back as verified. we want to buy a house...when applying for a mortgage...would it be wise to keep my name off the application, or wait the two extra year for the bad marks to come off?
