No I did not tell them I was looking for a house. I know that just settling the debt wont help my score but my score doesn't matter. I just have to show the debt as paid to get my mortgage approved. The debt was sold from Arrow Financial to an attorneys office. I think they have one person that handels all of their debts because the person I spoke with was the same person I spoke with last time and she was willing to settle for $2100 last time. Now she says the interest has accumulated and she would get fired if she let it go under $3000. I asked to speak to the person that would fire her to see if I could reach an agreement with that person and she can only give me the number back to someone at arrow financial. So who actully owns this account?
