I've been reading and reading online, and talking to the clerks office, attorney generals office, etc. Attorney general can't do to much, except contact the attny on my behalf and ask for mediation. Yeah, like they'll do that.

My next step is to contact Household directly and very sweetly and innocently and vaguely ask for the total they say is due, how much is principal, how much is interest, and how much are fees, and when was the last payment made. Maybe I'll bluff and tell them that I am ready to possibly pay, just want the breakdown of everything. Oh, and I need it in writing, if possible. IF they do send it (which I doubt) I'll have the proof I need, right on their letterhead. Of course, that would be too easy.
Then I'll just send a request to both Household AND Midland for the breakdown. Certified. If I don't get anything, oh well. When we get to court, they'll have to provide it. That's if it's not dismissed.
And the clerks office told me I have to send them a copy of my letter asking to dismiss, because then the judge knows I am being serious, plus it gives them a chance to either back down or try and settle out of court.
If I don't get the dismissal, I'll ask for mediation by the court. They almost always do this, because it saves on court time. And it's free. And its not optional - if the court orders it, they are SOL. (lol! get it? hee hee!)
Maryland District Court is great!

I really hope I'm doing the right things. I'm going for it, and I won't back down.
