About three years ago I wrote a check for $800.00 to Travelers for auto premium...The check bounced and Travelers actually returned the check to me with a letter stating that we were not covered for the time that the check was written for.....well needless to say our Insurance was canceled for nonpayment and we went with another company that was much cheaper. Now we are getting letters from Travelers saying that we owe them $800.00 ...huh? If we were not covered for the time period that the check was written for then I feel we don't owe them any money. I still have the letter and the returned check somewhere in this house, I just have to find it...I do remember speaking to an agent at Travelers about this and they looked at the records and said that I was right...so why are they trying this s--t now? Could it be that someone is trying to cover their butt for sending me the actual returned check?
